Why we started a skincare Brand

Primal Breed Naturals was not yet a dream when my wife and I started making tallow-based soaps and skincare products at our ranch in 2020. We began with an idea; could we utilize what we produce on our ranch, source the highest quality organically grown ingredients in California and develop skincare products to help the skin conditions of our kids, family and friends? This question led to another important one... We know tallow and herbs are healthier for your skin, but would they work as good or better than some big name, petroleum-based products? In short, the answer was ABSOLUTELY! The last five years have felt amazing! We began really helping people and loving every minute of the process. We completely disregarded the price of our ingredients and solely focused on quality and locality. We began giving our products away to anyone that had a need. The feedback we received was humbling. In late 2024, on a car ride home from a camping trip, my wife and I decided to open Primal Breed Naturals, the name inspired by the primitive and beautiful Scottish Highland cattle that we raise in Sacramento at C Bar C Ranch.
